" Bridges made from immaculate, transparent and sensual values lead towards the tumultuous cosmos, well hidden within ourselves. "

Biography

Research

Sabina Dragomir faces through the pictorial language the relationship between soul and body, frequently choosing herself as the subject of investigation. Water is the central element in this direction of research, intended as the original and originating liquid in which the body bends moves and turns, resisting and abandoning its contractions and so revealing its true intention. Starting point are the self-photographs, from which the artist draws portraits that are the source of the canvases on which she paints herself in the tension between being and appearance, with refined pictorial poetry. The last phase of the research sees the attenuation of the palette painting in whites and blacks, which make even more suffused the bodily presence than the spiritual emergence, and an increased attention to the involvement of the viewer.
